Clients and Testimonials

Delighted clients who have experienced Paul’s coaching, mentoring and training services have provided the following comments:

Paul is an excellent coach. He is a great listener and uses a wealth of experience and common sense advice to help find solutions to the most taxing of problems (Alun Probert, Director, Strategic Communications & Government Advertising, NSW Government Services, Technology & Administration)

Paul is an inspirational coach who has a ‘friendly’ and ‘warm’ demeanor, he delivers a good mix of theory and practical examples which come from his extensive experience in business. I found Paul to be particularly effective when I was facing challenges around staff underperformance, team utilisation and organisational change. The strategies he proposes are effective and proven. Importantly, he assists with implementation, effectively coaching you through each step of the way. Often I have found that mentors are very good at telling you what needs to be done but less effective at getting you to the end goal. I would have no hesitation recommending Paul as an executive coach. Thanks Paul! (Mat Densten, Associate Director, TNS)

I first met and worked with Paul Vittles in the context of major life and career transitions, from Europe to Australia and from middle management in the not-for-profit sector to a senior role in a strategic consultancy firm. Through his combination of supportive attitude and insightful questioning, Paul helped me to increase clarity and awareness of important values and aspirations, then assisted me in translating these aspirations into clear goals and action plans. His coaching contributed significantly to making these difficult transitions successful, and helped me to crystallise and integrate key learnings from these important moments. Paul also played a key role in the development of my professional network in Australia, through his creativity and readiness to suggest and explore a broad range of options. I continue to seek his insight and support on a regular basis, especially in the context of the ongoing development of my career as a specialist consultant (Francois Faure, GM Ensemble Partners)

There is nothing that compares to listening to someone that has actually been in the trenches and applied the same strategies that they refer to. Paul is an enthusiastic practitioner, strategist, speaker, coach and leader. He shares many practical examples of how the combination of good preparation, genuine engagement and strategic thinking positively impact on the deployment and execution of plans. He outlines how you can achieve a balance of team and personal success in your planning. Paul demonstrates how the journey can be equally or possibly even more rewarding than the destination. An inspiring individual (Greg Doyle, Public Servant and Convenor of the 2007 LGMA LiveWire Conference)

From the moment Paul begins to speak you know that he is passionately committed to helping people and organisations truly embrace and achieve their potential. In sharing both his experiences and the lessons learned from his extensive career in business planning and development, Paul masterfully and practically demystifies the pathways to achieving personal and professional success. An engaging, informative and transformative speaker, Paul Vittles knows how to inspire (Amelia Starr, Director, AARC Consulting)

I learnt more working with Paul (at RBA) than in any other employment. His enthusiasm and love of the subject brought everything to life and his coaching – which was positive, encouraging and consistent – has helped me achieve things I never thought possible. Finding Paul as one of the speakers in conferences is always a good sign. He is a fantastic speaker, always thought-provoking as well as entertaining and educational (Deborah Wilson, Senior Research Officer, UK Dept for Children, Schools and Families)

The stand out quality that Paul consistently delivers is a passion and enthusiasm to realise the potential of others. Sometimes in life you just need a catalyst to inspire you to make a change. Paul’s coaching skills combined with his positive energy and confidence became the inspiration I needed to take the next steps to success (Iain Sutherland, Service Strategy Manager, npower)

I’ve benefited enormously from Paul’s insight, knowledge and capacity to penetrate to the heart of complex situations. My own research and consultancy work is infinitely better as a result of his guidance and support from when we worked together. He is not afraid to challenge the way people think, and he’s motivated strongly to make a positive difference to people and situations. The brilliant thing is he doesn’t just claim to be able to do this, he actually delivers as well (Phil Back, Research that Counts)

Paul’s a great guy to workshop your thinking with. He’s a disciplined listener and an asker of great questions. He’s an ideas man, where the ideas end up coming out of you, not him (Duncan Rintoul, Associate Director, Urbis & Co-Chair of 2009 AMSRS Conference)

Paul has one of the most unique perspectives and experience sets in Australia – he’s worked in both social and commercial marketing, has an incredibly diverse knowledge covering numerous areas, is both a consultant and a coach, has international and local experience and is able to draw enthusiasm and insight from those he works with. Paul is a rare breed (Huw Hepworth, Account Director, Painted Dog)

I first met Paul back in 2002 when he was asked by the UK Market Research Society (MRS) to create and lead a workshop day with young researchers. The MRS was concerned that market research as an industry was not offering enough for younger researchers and was worried about the large number that disappear after three years. The outcome of that day was a strategy and the creation of a steering committee of which I was one of the original founding members. Paul helped to mentor us from the start, providing his time to help us learn how to work as a team and how to get the best out of the MRS/ourselves as well as other young researchers. Paul’s support was invaluable in the early days, we may not have succeeded without him. I also caught up with Paul at the MRS Conference in 2003 (typical of Paul he was full of passion on what we were doing and was wearing one of our promotional bugs we gave out stuck to his lapel). Paul is very committed, passionate and very supportive in everything he puts himself into. I have a great deal of respect for Paul and I think anyone who works with him will find the same man I have known and respected for the last eight years and many more in the future (Paul Crooke, Founding Member of R-Net, the young researchers’ group in the UK)
